Or, as Rivian founder and CEO RJ Scaringe told TechCrunch recently, the company’s technology and commodities are all meant to” enable people to be adventurous, whether it’s carrying their children or their pets or their gear .”
The world got a glimpse of what Rivian might have in mind earlier this year at the Overland Expo in Flagstaff, Ariz ., when the company evidenced off a prototype of a tent kitchen that plucks out of the electric pickup’s gear tunnel.
