Toyota’s creepy new ‘prototype town’ is a real-life Westworld

Akio Toyoda, chairwoman of Toyota, announces plans for a” personal’ Field of Dreams “– a brand-new techno-utopia in Japan–and mobilizes acclaimed architecture firm Bjarke Ingels Group to build it.

It’s the immediate future. A fellowship has built a” paradigm city” which will allow scientists and researchers to test an array of new technologies, including artificial intelligence, human mobility, robotics, textiles discipline, sustainable force, and autonomy in one controlled environment. Its works( and the generally tech-curious) have been invited to move into this” live laboratory” as full-time test subjects, with an end-goal to determine the future of the vehicle industry, urban planning, and parish. No, I’m not describe a scheme of HBO’s sequence, Westworld. The parish is the brainchild of Toyota Motor Corporation: it’s called Woven City, and it’s scheduled to break ground near Mt. Fuji, Japan, in 2021.
