The startup resistance: How activists and entrepreneurs are taking on the Trump agenda

Almost two years into the Trump presidency, we profile those startups and organizations that are addressing important issues they feel are being forgotten or opposed by the administration: legal migration, abortion access, student pay forgiveness, climate change, expanding voter access.
In the aftershock of Donald Trump’s surprise victory in November 2016, many Americans experienced the 7 theatres of heartbreak, arraying from rage and depression to reconstruction and hope. That showed itself in a variety of ways, whether it was joining a pussy hat, rallying in a complain, cross-file to elect, or even feeing for power. And some resourceful forms got to work–coding, developing an app, propelling a startup–to address important matters they felt were being forgotten or actively opposed by the brand-new administration.
