Splunk acquires network observability service Flowmill

Data platform Splunk to continue its efforts to make acquisitions as it works to build out its recently propelled observability platform. After acquiring Plumbr and Rigor last month, the company today announced that it has acquired Flowmill, a Palo Alto-based network observability startup. Flowmill focuses on promotion its users find structure recital issues in their cloud infrastructure in real season and evaluate their traffic by work be used to help self-restraint cost.

Like so many other firms in this space now, Flowmill exercises eBPF, the Linux kernel’s relatively new capability to run sandboxed system inside it without having to change the grain or laden seed modules. That manufactures it ideal for monitoring applications.
