Ring is mostly known for its residence security systems like its smart buzzer and most recently its residence certificate camera that comes with a built-in sentry drone. However, it seems that the company has decided to expand on their portfolio where they’ll be moving beyond the home and into automobiles.
This will come in the form of a couple of new Ring concoctions like the Car Alarm and Car Cam. With the Ring Car Alarm, this contraption can be easily installed by plugging it into your car’s ODB port. It will send push notifications and alarms to your phone if it spots an interference, and users can even use their mobile designs to prompt a siren that they are able to hopefully deter would-be thieves.
As for the Ring Car Cam, this device will attract double or even triple obligation where it will keep an eye out on your vehicle while it’s parked, like notifying useds when there is a break-in or if someone bulges into it, and it can also act as a scoot cam when you are driving, so if you’re looking for a more comprehensive system beyond merely alarm systems, then the Car Cam could be for you. This will, of course, require you to subscribe to an LTE plan, but the upside is that you’ll be able to receive alertings even if you’re overseas.
The Ring Car Alarm will be priced at $60 while the Car Cam will retail for $200. There is no date on their availability just yet, but they are expected to arrive some time in 2021.
