IKEA Creates PS5, Xbox Series X Mockups To Help Shoppers Choose Furniture

When buying furniture, it helps if you know what you plan to put in it. For example, if you want to buy a Tv console measurement, you might want to take into account the size of other gizmoes that you’ll be fitting in it, like the size of your soundbar, maybe an amplifier, your set-top box, and so on. Of route, you will need to know the sizes ahead, but IKEA wants to lend you a helping hand.

In a post on Reddit, u/ TomaccoTastesLikeGma shared a photo made at a regional IKEA where it seems that the company has created mockups of both the PS5 and Xbox Series X console. Clearly IKEA isn’t selling consoles, but they demand customers to use these mockups if they plan to buy some furniture and want to know if the PS5 or Xbox Series X will fit into it.

This means that instead of you having to haul around your console to IKEA, which we don’t genuinely recommend, or try to figure out the dimensions by appearing it up online and using IKEA’s ultra-flimsy paper lords, these mockups will be able to tell you if the furniture you’re buying is the right fit for your brand new console.

It’s actually a very clever idea and one that we have to wonder why IKEA did not think of before with older consoles, but hey, better late than never, right? So if you are planning to buy a new TV cabinet to house either of these consoles, then brain on over to IKEA and check it out!
