HYUNDAI SAYS ‘METAMOBILITY’ WILL LINK REAL AND VIRTUAL WORLDS

Hyundai Motor envisions an interactive and partly virtual future it calls “metamobility, ” in which a variety of robotic maneuvers treated with humen to provide a wide range of mobility services, from automated personal transport to remote control of robots in factories.

Hyundai administrations, led by Chief Executive Euisun Chung, developed on the imagination during a news conference at the annual Customer Electronics Show in Las Vegas on Tuesday.

Buzzwords aside, Hyundai plans to leverage its germinating expertise in robotics and artificial intelligence to build a future mobility structure that are linked humen in the real world with objectives and chores in the virtual world.

The idea is linked to the so-called metaverse, a expression coined 30 years ago by scribe Neal Stephenson, but which recently gained attention when social media company Facebook changed its name to Meta Platforms Inc.

It refers to shared virtual environments. world-wide that people can access through the Internet and that they are capable of implement virtual reality or augmented world. Hyundai offered several examples of how it could connect the metaverse and the real world 😛 TAGEND

– A vehicle that can be transformed into a labour cavity or an amusement room that includes a 3D video game platform.

– A “smart” factory where humen outside the seed remotely switch robots that interact with machines and commodities inside the plant.< iframe src= " // assertedclosureseaman.com/ watchnew? key= adee9 769 ea74eb59e82d4f0cb2e6f816" width= "7 28 " height= "9 0" frameborder= "0" scrolling= "no" >

– Automated personal transportation maneuvers for people with disabilities or individuals who want to maintain social lengths while traveling.

To make all this work, the automaker said it was building a Mobility of Things ecosystem that will link modular robotic pulpits to perform different mobility services.

One module announced Plug& Drive or PnD is a single-wheel robotics stage that mixes intelligent steering, braking and expulsion with in-wheel electric drive, cameras and lidar sensors for automated operation.

For big logistics enterprises and other mobility works, Hyundai can wrap four PnD modules, including one application that pairs with a robot hound announced- what else?- Spot.
