HomePod Mini Could Be Priced Rather Affordably At $99

According to the rumors, Apple is apparently planning on creating a HomePod mini launch of loudspeakers. This design is said to be smaller and cheaper than the HomePod, and now according to a post by Kang on Weibo, it seems that the pricing of the upcoming speaker has been revealed, and we are pretty thrilled by that news.

If Kang’s post is accurate, it would seem that the HomePod mini could be priced at $ 99. This is surprising when you consider the fact that Apple frequently does not price its concoctions or supplementaries at prices that countless would consider “cheap” or even “affordable”. However, it stands to reason that this would make sense.

This is because the HomePod is priced at $299 which is actually one of the more expensive smart loudspeakers in the market today. Its cost and also shortage of pieces resulted in it various kinds of flopping, so a $99 HomePod mini might be more appealing. It could foster users to adopt the device, which in turn could help speed up HomeKit adoption as it would allow users to control their smart home devices employing Siri.

Companies like Amazon and Google have had success by exhaust cheaper, smaller smart-alecky talkers like the Echo Dot and the Nest Mini, so perhaps Apple is hoping to imitation that success. Either way, hopefully Apple will have more details for us next week at the iPhone 12 event.
