Google is updating its Nest Hub exposes with a brand-new piece that displays the aura character indicator( AQI ), Android Central has reported. The peculiarity will appear on the weather widget, registering a numeric standing from 0 to 500 and color coding from dark-green( good) to maroon( hazardous ). Google is taking the data from the US government’s AQI site used by the EPA to monitor air quality across the US.
Along with the AQI index and colorings in the weather widget, Nest display owneds are also welcome to question Google Assistant for breeze character information with people saying “what’s the breeze quality near me” or something similar. You can also ask Assistant to give alarms when the breeze caliber your place puts to unsafe status, a feature that could be handy for folks with respiratory questions.
The feature is rolling out as wildfires rage across the western United Country, particularly in Oregon and California. “Between wildfire season and recent increased efforts to reduce air pollution, it’s more important than ever to know about the breath aspect in your domain, ” Google said in a Nest community update.
