Smart switchings aren’t precisely new, but the problem with most of them is that if you have an old room that you’re trying to build smart, installing them can be a bit of a complicated process. However, the good news is that it looks like GE Lighting might have the answer to that trouble as the company has announced a new lineup of smart-alecky substitutions for the home.
This comes in the form of the C by GE Hubless Three-Wire Smart Switch and Hubless Dimmers that can be installed in the majority of residences simply due to the fact that they do not require a neutral cable, something that most other smart switches expect. They too do not require a hub to connect to the internet as they can connect directly to your home’s WiFi network, simplifying the entire process.
These smart buttons, as with most smart commodities today, will too toy neatly with digital auxiliaries from the likes of Google and Amazon, so if you already own some Google Assistant or Alexa-enabled smart devices, you can use it together without any issue. In periods of pricing and accessibility, the Smart Switch will be priced at $ 39.99 and will be available in the first quarter of the year.
As for the smart-alecky dimmers, these is likely to be priced starting at $49.99 and will be released in the second quarter of 2020.
