Emtek introduces August-powered smart locks

Looks like August’s large-scale bulletin for the show wasn’t buzzer, after all. Rather, the smart lock manufacturer announced this morning that it is likely to be raising its engineering to three brand-new locks from Emtek.

Like August, Emtek is a part of the Swedish conglomerate Assa Abloy. The be implemented information and communication technologies will be similar to August’s relationship with fellow Assa Abloy label, Yale, where the more tech-savvy start will essentially supremacy the lock’s smart capabilities. Two of the three will be incorporated in August’s Auto-Unlock, DoorSense and Auto-Lock tech. The fastenings will come in keypad or keyed sits, priced at $440 and $370 — around $100 pricier than August’s own simulations. The change is apparently due to the more premium fabrics be utilized in Emtek’s version.

The brand-new fastenings will be available in showrooms where Emtek hardware is sold subsequently this year.
