A new report finds that 60 business are seeing great strides in plastic recycling innovations, which could make it easier to recycle a wider range of expendable plastics.
Only a small fraction of the plastic made today is recycled, and nearly all of it points up in landfills, incinerators, or the ocean. That means that we are only maintain clearing more plastic. But new innovations in recycling engineering are making a more circular economy more likely: When an old-fashioned plastic receptacle offers an opportunity to make a brand-new receptacle or other product in a closed loop, and old-fashioned plastic abruptly has more value.
