Just in time for anniversary shopping, Apple announced the launch of an online supermarket offering a 10 percent discount off all products for active military and ex-servicemen.
“At Apple we are deeply grateful to the men and women of our armed forces, ” the company said in a statement offered to TechCrunch. “We’re proud to offering active military members and veterans a new dedicated online place with special pricing as an expression of our gratitude for their adventurous service.”
Apple has long offered education and student pricing discounts on various hardware offerings, together with hand-picked pricing through its federal work and military personnel authority purchase program. A number of other firms, including Microsoft, Lenovo and Samsung too give some edition of military personnel discounts.
