Apple Adds FaceTime Framework To Apple TV

Recently it was reported that Apple could be developing brand-new smart-alecky home inventions like smart exposes, which are essentially smart orators with a parade and camera built into it. This suggests that in the future, there is an opportunity that we could see Apple expand FaceTime to more of its products.

If you missed more evidence that this could be happening, a finding from MacRumors contributor Steve Moser has revealed that Apple has recently contributed the FaceTime framework to tvOS 14.5 beta, along with a AVFCapture framework that is related to capturing portrait. Some of you might be wondering what has tvOS got to do with FaceTime? This is because the HomePod is actually powered by the tvOS platform, which in turn is linked to the rumors that Apple could be developing a HomePod with a built-in display.

The HomePod previously kind of supports FaceTime, but it is limited to merely audio, but patently a smart-alecky flaunt could allow users to build FaceTime video announces. Nonetheless, as per the previous report, Gurman notes that there is no guarantee that Apple will shape these commodities a reality as apparently they are currently exclusively exploring it in perception, so perhaps don’t get your hopes up just yet.
