The company just agreed to a $15/ hour wage hike-but is the company actually ogling out for its workers?
Yesterday, Amazon announced a big and heartening change. The company-including its recently acquired Whole Foods–is raising its minimum wage to $15 per hour. The change will begin on November 1 of this year, and will impact several hundreds of thousands of hires. An Amazon spokesperson confirmed to me that all employees shaping more than $15/ hour will receive a$ 1/ hour increase as well. Though numerous may be applauding the company for this move, we may want to hold off to insure exactly how this change plays out.
